Scottish Paediatric Regional Ophthalmologists’ Group
Scottish Paediatric Regional Ophthalmologists’ Group
ABOUT US
SPROGS was established in 2002 as a group of NHS paediatric ophthalmologists based in Scotland, plus doctors from other specialties, vision scientists and allied health professionals interested in children’s eye conditions.
We meet in person annually, usually in June, often at Perth Royal Infirmary, however in 2026 we have a joint meeting with BIOS in Glasgow (see below). Meetings include discussion on current issues facing paediatric ophthalmology, case presentations and guest speakers.
Any health professional interested in attending is welcome. Please contact in advance to reserve a space or to present. Trainees are particularly encouraged to join us.
Our next meeting will be held jointly with BIOS (British & Irish Orthoptic Society) in Glasgow.
